I have the same boat with a 200 Yam four stroke and mine tops out at 42mph....yours should top out at 44mph....at 5500 rpm's....you wouldn't want to run at 6000 rpm....if you're not getting 40+ MPH with yer two stroke.....you have a problem :-|
It's the carbs and a fuel flow issue.....yer idle jets are clogged...you can overcome it when you pour on the fuel...it's carburation...NOT electrical.....Stator sheez....time for NEW mechanic..... :-|
It can and does occur in your Outboard.....my question is why does this one have it and that one doesn't.....where does it come from.....it has to come from somewhere....
Oh no.....we are sure it was Microbial.....it can happen in anything that fuel sits like yer blower....cars burn thru gas too fast....I'm wondering does it come from the fuel companies in the fuel....does it form in the tank.....where does it come from.....it has to come from somewhere :hmm
Have run into microbial growth inside the VST....looks almost like bits of shell....clogs the fuel system something terrible.....what do you guys know about this topic
If you don't like the song on the radio.....don't listen...If you don't like the show on TV....don't watch it....If you don't like the posts on the BEST Grady site in the world....Don't come back....we won't miss a grumpy old fart like yourself....oh btw what's your boat named?....Scrooge 2 :-|
I love the ride in the nasty chop we get in the Ocean City inlet....I love the Passion for boating that the people who work at Grady-White have....go to the factory....you will feel it too....I love the fit and finish of my Grady and fact that they overbuild everything.
I hate the caulk that...
The gulfstream will take bigger sea's than your crew will be able to stand.....that being said there is no reason to subject them to it.....with today's weather channels and electronics there is no reason a storm should be able to "sneak up on you"....if you're going offshore and have not...
With so many places to choose to fish.....Why do people sit in the middle of a channel and then complain when they get passed by another boat that has to use that channel.... If wakes from another boat anger you.....maybe boating isn't your thing
You could both be right.....The boat was never "STORED" on the water like the owner said....as cold as it is in NY the boat was "STORED" on the hard.....BUT it was kept in the water all season.....hence the bottom paint.....new Grady 192's come with a 13 3/4 x 17 on the 150 Yam 4 stroke.
Scott....the fact that State government agencies use them is no selling point for me....typically they buy the cheapest thing available.....said e-tec.
I agree with Brian.....after 15 years they need to be checked....after 20 years they should be replaced along with the lines.....most people only change them when they see gas leaking.....
