265 Express windshield filler material

Does anyone know where to source this rubber like material that fills the slots on the windshield? (See photo)

These guys are one of the original windshield makes. Mostly Water Bonnet guys. They are old timers. Your looking at new-old-stock (NOS) from 20 or 30 years ago. They may have what you need but there are a lot of materials they just don't have.

Yes I have used them but that was 10 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. How big an order are we talking about.

I’m just looking for the front windshield panels for an older 192. I called grady white and the sent me to Taylor Made they couldn’t help. Marine Glass Specialties was their other recommendation. From what I could discern they have been around along time. But that they must have changed hands in the past several years, maybe sold to a former employee?

I talked to the current owner and he said he wanted to “cold form” the tempered glass to make the necessary bends. I’ve worked with glass professionally (glassblowing, slumping, fusing, casting for 20+ years) and have never heard of such a thing. So I started to do a little more reading up on the outfit. That’s when I came across some pretty alarming reviews (that all seem to be since the ownership change).

I’d love to hear from someone who has recently used their services.
 
I used them 3 years ago for the vent window on my 265. Pricey but did a great job!

Did you have them do the glass and the metal trim or just the trim? Did you send them the other vent window or did they already have the template?

I’ve tried getting in touch with these guys over the past three years to no avail. Do you have an email address for anyone over there?
 
No trim just glass. I sent him the one that I have and he matched it and sent both pieces back. Guys name was Tex. I honestly can’t believe that I still had this in my email.

I bought a few different rubber products on Amazon and need to make some time to see if they work. I’ll post when I have an update
 
Steele Rubber products has a great selection of replacement trim. https://www.steelerubber.com. They are an OEM supplier for many boat manufacturers and will provide sizing samples. Replaced the windshield trim screw covers on my Grady 360 express. Were great to work with. I sent them photos of what I wanted to replace and they sent samples with different sizes for fitment.
