Just a FYI, I called Grady White tech support and they said the cable is a 17' footer (Teleflex SC6217 to be precise). They also told me that my boat has to be a 190, not a 185 as they only made 190s in 1991. So much for the original boat registration for being correct! Thanks!

Teleflex is now Seastar. The part number is the same.That said, if you have the Big-T type of helm, and you have a newer cable, there is a possibility that the existing cable won't fit the new box. I am not sure but if you just changed the cable, keeping the BigT box, you need an adapter to use the 6217 cable. I would ask Seastar. They are good at getting back.
