    Pop-out gunwale step

My 2002 Sailfish 282 had a "foot-rest" at the helm and companion seat side, and I have stood on each of those many many times, while working in the overhead electronics compartment. They looked just like the one in the photo, and I know they call it a foot rest, but I just dont believe that it...

    Getting ready to….nevermind

Hi Rob, OK, not what I was thinking... but re the antennas, first thing that comes to mind is having two velcro strips sewn on flaps, to allow the antennas to lay outside the cover, and close the velcro under them. But, someone else may have other suggestions. I'm surprised that Fisher Canvas...

    help with 12" displays

    I did a 9" and a 12" on my 282 Sailfish, A 2002. I think 2 - 12's will be really tight.

Looking for a GW Sailfish or Marlin

I pass this along to Rob, the gentleman who bought the boat from me 2 years ago. I'm think the hours are around 240-250; not sure, I don't know what he wants for it, but we've stayed in touch, so I'll mention this post to him.

    No cold oil pressure

Copied from the Yamaha Parts forum: "01-14-2015, 12:28 AM I had the same issue with my 2002 F115. The alarm only sounded when first started for the day and not every time but it did get that way. It initially took 3-4 stop/starts to clear it and then it got to more then that. Mechanics tried a...

    No cold oil pressure

Try changing the oil filter. Old one may be blocked and bypass not working. At least that is a quick and inexpensive check. What weight oil is in the engine? I don't knw whether the oil ports could be back-flushed (is there even such a thing?), but if you just spent $3000 for the mech-guesser...

Looking for a GW Sailfish or Marlin

Looks like my 2002 282, with triple axle aluminum trailer, all in excellent condition, is available but not yet listed. The gentleman who bought it from me 2 years ago, ran her on her bottom from my dock, here in lower Delaware, to Portland, Maine. He loves the boat, has had absolutely no issues...

    Question about manual flush toilet

Freedom, given your concerns, possibly the best option for your boat is to simply Buy one of these, and at the end of the day, remove the holding tank (bottom section), and take it up to the house and empty it in the toilet.

    Fuel usage numbers, 282.

Same numbers here. I enjoyed 282 (and 252 before that) ownership for more than 20 years, and seas permitting, I always picked the best mpg sweet spot. That always was in the same 1.5-1.6 mpg, average. An amazingly comfortable and fishable boat. I still miss mine.

Replied, and nice chatting with you Joe.

Looking for back to back lounger.

I have one that I will be replacing the one on my 2012 Freedom. It is in new conditiion. I have the new (2018/19) style, sliding backrest; just need to switch them out. But the problem I see is that you are in Florida and I am in Delaware. I'd really like to sell mine locally, so I wouldn't need...

    New Grady quality

Our Delmarva Grady White Club did a factory tour past May, and we split into several groups and walked the entire facility. They encouraged us to stop and talk with any worker even while doing their job, and ask them any questions we might have. This was the 5th factory tour that my wife and I...
