What do you do if you cannot get the release screw loose? The fill screw opening does not take pressure off my motor, 250hp OX66. Can I just loosen a trim cylinder cap? Will that do the same thing? I don’t think there is a ton of pressure in the lines as the motor will not tilt up at all but...

As the owner of a 248 the correct answer is 25” for twins, 30”is for single engine only. 350is the maximum HP rating. I am currently going through my repower options as well. Good luck, availability is sketchy on High HP motors Depending upon brand.

I have the 248 so very similar hull form for reference. I have a OX66 but I thought 4str motors have a trolling mode, No? I only say that because it will be a difficult install particularly if you are also adding controls.....

What does this factory vinyl cap look like? Anyone have a pic they can post. I am about to replace the transom cap on my 248 and haven’t seen a solution that looks factory or that I liked.

Dolphin makes the exact tower Atlantic sells for Hundreds less, I have been looking as well. The tower in the box though convenient are not suited for open water environments, also I have been told if you install canvas to them problems present due to the flex that is in the tower.
