Any Grady owners fishing the Great Lakes

Steve: I had in my files somewhere regarding a bracket for a kicker on the Seafarer. A gentlemen from the west coast sent me photos of his. It was the best set up I have ever seen. If you want photos let me know and will send. Dwain

    228 SEAFARER

When I was searching for my Seafarer I went to the Grady White website and clicked on dealers. Then I checked every dealer in the U.S. I found my boat in Walker Minnesota which was over a 24 hour drive for me. The dealer was Resort Marine if that is any help to you. Good luck. dwain

Hi Walker's Edge: Thanks for the info. Did you purchase your kit at West Marine? I would be interested in something that fils into my vice grips.

    Replacing Snaps

Hi Fish Tank: No that is not the tool. I have never seen the one you mentioned. I purchased the one that you try to hammer on. What a waste? The tool you mentioned is really something else, and I can see how it would work so much better. The cost is wow???

    Replacing Snaps

I am getting tired of replacing the snaps on my Seafarer. Is there some secret method of installing the snaps that will stay? I use the special tool and proper snaps. Thanks

want general advice on 22 seafarer

I also have a Seafarer 228. It does have a hardtop and a 225HP. I would not hesitate in purchasing another 228. Perhaps if you are ocean fishing then perhaps the Gulfstream may suffice. My boat does take a few seconds to get up and plane. I wish I had perhaps a 250HP on the back. Either way you...

Best boat for me and my family?

I would look at the 228 Seafarer. Perfect size cuddy, large open fishing deck and enclosed transom. Dwain

    Radar install in overhead box?

My Nav Net system is all in one unit and after 8 hours fishing, believe me your neck hurts contantly looking up.

    Radar install in overhead box?

Radar I have my Furuno unit installed in the overhead in my Seafarer. I think if it is just radar you are okay, but if it is all ie. radar, GPS, fishfinder etc. then at the end of the day, your neck is painful. I find that at the end of 8 hours fishing and using the overhead I can barely move...

    Grady White Newsletter

Thanks guys; I think I will go with the odd and even days. Switch on 1 for even and 2 on odd days and then both on the way in. This should charge the batteries up. Dwain

    Grady White Newsletter

Hi Bob: Just wanted to clarify. Do you start your engine using just the "1" battery? Do you ever switch to the "Both" and if you do when do you do this? Thanks. Dwain

    Grady White Newsletter

I received the newsletter from Grady White via email and starting reading it. I read the battery section and to my surprise I have been starting the motor incorrectly. My Seafarer has two batteries and I have always started the boat on the "all" position. I have never started the boat using the...
