Are you going to try and run the microwave off the inverter? If so let me know how it works out. I miss not being able to heat up a cup of coffee, etc. but adding a genny to the boat is way too much money and aggravation for a few minutes of microwave time. Thanks

Call me paranoid but I wouldn't even go with the copper...I'd try and adapt and use one of the plastic hand bilge pumps that they sell.

Anything is fixable. The real question is why do it and is it worth it? In this economy used boats are so cheap you really have to ask yourself "is it worth it?" You may find that for the cost of the materials alone you could buy a much better example.
