What kind of "bottom paint" are you refering to. You dont want to use regular bottom paint. Sea Hawk has a tranducer paint that is recommended by airmar. It's a water based paint and you paint it on every part of the transducer.

Propspeed, very pricey but after two years i pulled the boat and pretty much nothing growing there, and what was there brushed right off and they look as if they were just painted. I do reach under and give them a brush every couple of months though.

Hello, I can tell you a 2001 Marlin freshwater pump is located in the aft berth, behind the carpeted sidewall, port side. Take out about 7 or 8 screws, sidewall comes out, pump is right there! Chris

Have you looked to see if the charging wires from the engines are actually connected to the battery? In addition to charging your start batteries there are leads from the engines that should be connected to house batteries and yes they should charge while underway. Sounds like they are not...
