    Electrical questions 272 Sailfish

Macerator pump.....powered from the power supply terminal block behind the switch panel.....I think it a 12 gauge orange/gray wire from the fuse block(accessory panel) to the macerator pump(if older Groco system). That system also has a 20(?) amp glass fuse in the on/off & indicator panel...

    Cheap Screw Whine

Couldn't agree more..... Started replacing mine last year......additional whine about the black(rusty) screws used to install the switch and engine instrument panels. Broke 3 of them last year....had to drill them out.....now all stainless.

    Electrical questions 272 Sailfish

On my 2000 272, the starboard and accessory batteries are charged typically by the starboard engine(when switched to do so). The accessory battery powers the macerator as well as the windlass, refrig, etc. Several years ago I thought I had a "dead" accessory battery after using it for...

    Yamaha Multifunction Guages Back Lights

Out to see the fireworks last night and found that my S/B multifunction tach and the fuel management gauge(2000 272 2 by 200 SWS OX66) had no back lighting. The port multi-tach and speed gauges were back lit. Any thoughts or guidance before I start taking the entire panel out?..

    Cockpit Lights

Thanks Brian.....put them on order tonight.......any thoughts about replacing the white and red dome lights(perko) in the overhead cockpit?? Bulbs don't seem to be the problem....seems to be the switch.... Ron

    Cockpit Lights

Am I correct in thinking that the 1124 is the same bayonet bulb type as the Attwood #90 as specified by G-W for the 2000 272 Sailfish cockpit lights??? Looks to be the same, if so great suggestion.....

    Transducer Flats...

Seems that a lot of Garmin users are installing something like a B60(20degrees) through the hull not on the flat but more toward the center line. Will be removing a B744V from the starboard flat in my 2000 272 Sailfish and do not want to replace in kind. Thinking of installling a B117 0 degree...

    Sailfish Fresh Water Tank...

Thanks RobertH....the 2000 272 Sailfish has the water tank about as far aft in the boat as you can get. It is located aft and below the bank of three batteries and is accessed through the aft transom bench seat. I can see portions of the tank easily, just can't see where the fill and vent...

    Sailfish Fresh Water Tank...

Does anyone know where the vent line attaches to the water tank on a 2000 272 Sailfish??? Know that the filler cap is vented as in the fuel system cap but cannot determine where the vent line enters the tank. When filling the tank with a hose, there is a substantial spray of water being forced...

    Fresh Water System 272 Sailfish

Found the problem, as ahill suggested, was an air leak at a cracked plalstic tee in the line. Probably cracked it when I was changing the live well pump earlier. On the 2000 272 Sailfish, the water tank is on the centerline aft of the batteries and about as far aft as you can get on this boat...

    Fresh Water System 272 Sailfish

So, went down to the boat today to prep for the 4th. Turned on fresh water switch and pump comes on, no water from any outlet. Filled tank until water runs out of top of tank and tried again. No water to system. Accessed the pump and checked filter....clear and clean. Turned on pump, filter...

    New GPS/Sounder Combo????

Sailfish 272(2000) The Furuno 1850DF(12yrs old) installed in the helm instrument box has had a screen failure and as per Furuno can't be repaired/replaced. Have really enjoyed using the machine and still think I like the idea of a combo. Any suggestions for a combo that will fit into the box...

    Rule 500gph livewell aerator pump

Replaced mine several months ago. I replaced the Rule 500GPH pump with a Rule 750 GPH pump for more water flow/volume. You can find Rule pumps at West Marine, ur dealer, etc. in three or four sizes. Fairly easy replacement in my 272 Sailfish. Rule is the manufacturers name, and the pumps are...
