Can 1999 272 sailfish handle pair of f250 30" shaft

30” no, 250’s yes but you have to raise the scuppers. I looked at a ‘99 272 with F250’s and it was quick but the back of the cockpit had a bit of water in it because of the weight of the engines.

2002 Sailfish 282 back deck canopy, has anyone had one built?

I have been toying with the idea of mounting rod holders parallel to the hard top under the top and get the blue, fiberglass outriggers to mount in them. Then get some sunbella and sew pockets into it so the outriggers slide into them. Have to mount my regular outriggers first and see how much...

To fat or bad design? Maybe Both!

This drives me crazy. I had an Islander before my 282 with the companion bench and no prob. I’d love to swap the passenger chair for the bench and be over this issue.

Tuna tower on 268 islander 1999

I had a ‘95 that would always list coming off a wake and need a ton of tab to correct. I was at a Home Depot one day with a Grady shirt on and this guy asks me what I had. I told him a 268 and he asked if I had a hard top. I told him I did and he asked me about the list and said the top is...

    Hardtop storage bag replacement

Does anyone know where to find a replacement for the bag that hangs under the hardtop on a 282 Sailfish? My zipper broke and the grommets are not looking to good.

New 250hp Suzuki engines on my 272 Sailfish

Please post some numbers for fuel burn, rpm’s and speed when you can. I get 28mph with my F200 i4s at 4100 and 16gph but I’d really like to put 250s on my 282.

    Bow Pulpit Fiberglass Cracks...

I would also recommend putting weight on the end of the pulpit and see what happens before you get too worked up about this. Unbolt the bow rail and test it first.

    96 272 sailfish scuppers

I had a 268 Islander that I made an access on the inside of the floor from the scuppers which worked perfectly to access the scuppers and change the hoses.

    Grady southbound to FL

I’m in Stuart. The inlet can get nasty but it’s usually no prob in the summer. Lots of rack storage close to the inlet and lots of storage yards within a few miles drive to the closest ramp to the inlet(Sandsprint). It used to be quiet but now it’s as busy as Jupiter

    Real Repower Cost, Twin 250's

It’s crazy, I got a quote just less than a year ago for a pair of Suzuki 250 fly by wire for $34k fully rigged and installed.

    Replace 282 Sailfish helm seats

I have a similar set to those but I can’t remember the manufacturer. Very comfortable but they leave very little room to get by. I’d like to replace one and put in the bench which should open it up a bit.

    Trailer Problems

Had the same problem with my old 268. If I drove it up on the trailer it was fine but if I winched it up it would do the same thing as yours.

    Insurance Recommendation Needed

My dad’s 2019 Cobia just got canceled by GEICO too with no explanation(Ft. Lauderdale). I have mine through Allstate on my ‘01 Sailfish in Stuart. They were the most reasonable last year.
