    Adventure 208 Winterizing

Hey Fellas, I read a few posts on the site about winterizing the raw and fresh water systems, but I was wondering about the best way to do this for a 208. I thought I would just unscrew the hose clamp on the raw water intake (near the seacock) and put that hose in a jug of 50/50 water/anti...

If you bought a 208- later model vs 2000 era and a repower?

It's a freshwater boat with a great powerplant. Looks mint. Can't believe it's still for sale. Cost new is over 75k. The only thing it needs is an enclosure. These are great all-around boats that are easily trailerable. I tow mine with a 6 cylinder 4runner - no problem. As my salesman...

If you bought a 208- later model vs 2000 era and a repower?

    Here you go - If i didn't already buy a 1993 recently repowered with a 200 e-tec, I would have bought this one. http://www.thehulltruth.com/boats-sale/ ... nture.html

Bildge pump float switch not working

thanks guys. the switch won't work when I manually pull it up. the inline fuse had some corrosion on it, as I indicated, so I'll clean the rubber fuse holder, install a new one, then try the switch again. I think the switch is original, from 1993, so I'm tempted to replace it anyway. The wires...

    Bow Rail 208 Adventure

Interestingly, I happen to have a spare from an 93 adventure. The prior owner took the pulpit off and replaced the rail as well. it is in very good condition. It is just sitting in my basement, so let me know if you are interested.

Bildge pump float switch not working

Hey guys, Quick question about a float switch on an adventure 208. I checked mine this weekend, and it doesn't work. First thing I looked at was batteries - 12V on both. Next was the inline fuse that is on a direct hook-up to one of the batteries. While the filament itself is not broken...

    Bilge water in a 208

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I will replace the inspection hatch seals first to see what we get. I've never noticed the bilge pumps come on, however, I got into rough seas a few weeks back on the way home from an extended weekend, and it's possible the pumps came on. One interesting thing -...

    Bilge water in a 208

interesting. I'll run the boat without the livewell going and see if I get any bilge water once I pull the boat out. The fact that it was saltwater that came out tells me that it didn't happen on the river.

    Bilge water in a 208

Hey all, I had my 1993 208 adventure on the trailer yesterday, and I parked on a hill just to see if any water would come out of the bilge with the plug out. On a level surface, no water comes out of the bilge, but wouldn't you know it, on the incline, several gallons of water came out. So...

    Sea Anchor

Just wondering what you folks use for a sea anchor for a 208 adventure. Small boat, but heavy for its size. PARA-TECH Parachute Sea Anchors look nice, but are expensive. I'll continue searching the site - just thought I would ask in the meantime. Thank you, Joe 93 208 adventure/2007...
