That's great to hear. Is that the standard motor for all GWs? Here is another question. I am have a hard time getting the wiper arm off of the motor. Is there a clip that holds it on or do I just pry it off with a large screw driver?

My wiper motor died and I need to replace it. Do I have to go through GW or is there a after market replacement?

I finally got to put my boat in the water saturday and everything went fine. Took her out again on sunday and when I went to turn my radar on it came on for a split second and shut right off. I had to call the installer later to find where the fuse is but I haven't been back on my boat to check...

Definitely stay away from WD40. WD40 will soften and eventually destroy any electrical casings. CRC is the way to go and T-9 is excellent on any electrical connections and will protect them from salt air and moisture. It's really great stuff but I wouldn't spray my engine with it. JMHO!

I have some teak, such as the swim deck, rod holders and some trim that has turned grey. None of the above uses any varnish. Looking for some suggestions to bring it back to life.

Why so expensive? Now I want to rethink re-locating my spot light to the bow which would give me less glare.

Well I've decided to go with the 1623 but as someone mentioned I have to raise the radar above my spot light. How do I do that? Is there something that Furuno makes for that kind of application?

Since I've replaced the tabs I haven't had a problem. When I bought the boat the guy I hired to go over the engine and boat told me that was the reason that the previous owner's trim tabs wee falling off of the transom. The mounting screws for the tabs had corroded and had broke off.

I was told that bottom paint would create electrolysis and corrode any metal such as the screws that mount the trim tans to the hull. Actually when I bought this boat one of the trim tabs fell off right in my hand because of this problem. Is there any truth to this?
