    powering a 204C

Remanufacture? I'm in a similar predicament. I'm contemplating having my 87 yammie remanufactured. The shift shaft will get replaced in the process and I won't have to re-rig. Which I understand can get expensive w/ new harnesses, cables, and labor. Has anyone had luck having their engine...

    No Bracket option for Adventure

I wasn't interested in putting one on the adventure as much as I want to know why they don't offer the option. They continued to offer it on the bigger models, seafarer and gulf stream etc.

    No Bracket option for Adventure

I noticed that the Adventure doesn't have the bracket option. Does anyone know the reasoning? Is there inherent performance issues w/ the overnighter w/ the bracket? Or, is it an incompatibility w/ the SV2 hull?

    factory bracket & shaft length

I have a 206G that will need a repower someday in the not so distant future. I'm wondering if a 20" shaft will work on the factory bracket. Has anyone tried or have an opinion? Thanks, Sal

Thanks! Thanks for all the great feedback. I emailed Grady White customer service and they sent me all the part #'s and drawings so I can order the correct replacements. Like others have said, great service!

    Thru Hull replacement

That's premature. Then your right. Did you have to bond the SS thru hulls? By that I mean wire them to a single anode. I've read that some have had bronze thru hulls corrode due to electrolysis. They switched to marleon (something like that).

    Thru Hull replacement

I'm going to replace my thru hull fittings this spring. I noticed a bit of water is leaking into the boat and suspect they're the cause. I've read that stainless is the way to go. My 1987 overnighter's plastic thru hulls lasted 23 years. Is it worth the extra money to go stainless? Is the issue...

    Repower 206G w/ 150 TXR?

Thanks for the feedback! To tell the truth I'm very happy w/ the speed of my boat w/ the 150 2s. That's why I'd consider replacing it w/ the new one.

    Repower 206G w/ 150 TXR?

I've been researching options for repowering my 206G. It has the original '87 150 yamaha on it. It's still running but I realize someday in the near future I'll have to repower. Putting big bucks into "this old boat" for a new high tech outboard is a tricky proposition. Buy a used engine...

Poly fuel tank for an Overnighter

Good idea. I'll see what GW has to say.

Poly fuel tank for an Overnighter

I've been researching fuel tank replacements. I understand that the adventure fuel tanks were switched to poly tanks. Does anyone know if they would fit an overnighter? Are they available for purchase? I looked a little on the web for poly belly tanks and the ones I found were 50 gal or...

    Overnighter 206G

Thanks for the replies. He's asking a firm $6500. It comes with a dual axle trailer, it's steel, not galvanized. Looks very strong but has a little rust and the brakes don’t work. He uses it for one launch a year and winter storage. Only comes with vhf for electronics. The boat is...

    Overnighter 206G

I found some good info on transom issues but they were all on the cut out transom. Has anyone had problems w/ the G transom?

    Overnighter 206G

I'm going to look at a 1987 206G with the original 150 hp yamaha on it. I searched through the forums looking for problems to watch out for. I didn't find much on this particular model. Can anyone help w/ a little guidance? Thanks!
