    Mice !

I had to wash my cover for the top that lays stored in front of the wIndshield because it was covered in cat hair ! My neighbors big Tom cat goes up under the boat cover and sleeps on it. The mice aren’t stupid they were running around in the cabin. I keep that locked to keep raccoons and...

    Mice !

Getting a very late start for the season and getting things cleaned up after storage. Also moving towards updating the electronics. Removing the external gps antenna and it’s five miles of coax cable all zip tied up and jammed in behind panels, wires connected to whatever they were before the...

Found some on eBay too. Guessing it’s got a dull finish though. Guess that doesn’t matter.

It’s a 9’ antenna and no I don’t know if it’s entire length is active. I’ll have to check into that.

last year I posted about this antenna wondering what would be a good replacement but it was determined that this was actually good high end model so I decided to stay with it. Now I was going to give it a fresh coat of white epoxy and found a 4” crack running vertically. It’s small but I wonder...

The orange ball actually fits in the bow flare really well keeping the bow from pivoting in and rubbing. That’s happened not once but twice and I was barely able to buff it out. :( These only need to do their job for about 15 minutes tops if no one else is waiting and I’m dragging my feet. The...

I’ll look into a fender cleat for sure if I can’t thru bolt it. Thanks ya hanging it from the rail isn’t good I know but I’ve buffed our scratches in the bow I don’t want to see happen again. Gotta do something.

The image below shows the fender arrangement I use to keep my hull safe when launching and retrieving from the ramp and it’s dock. The orange ball guards the flare at the bow when the stern line isn’t as tight as it could be and it turns in to rub the bow. I’d like to add a cleat pretty much...

    New motor or say goodbye

I have an ‘87 Overnighter too, only mine has a Suzuki DT225. If the engine ever dies I’ll mount the F200 4cylinder on it. I think you’ll do fine with the 150 though. Their great outboards.

    New motor or say goodbye

If you want a bigger boat or a different style that’s fine but to sell yours for another used of the same ? When someone sells a boat they sell it for a reason and a lot of people hold back on their reasons when your interested. Is your boat solid in the stringers and transom? One day the tank...

What is this Buss for? Grady provides the answer

Agreed. I was going to say disconnect it but if you can trip the breaker or shut it off it’s the simplest way to find out what it’s “not powering” at that point.

    Blue Side Compartment Carpet

I haven’t yet but it’s on my list of to do’s. The carpet is fine on a pleasure boat but on a fishing boat its a pain to keep clean and it stays wet. I’d go with the starboard.

    OEM horn cover replacement

Looks like a generic speaker grill to me. I’d take a ride over to a automotive stereo shop. They replace factory speakers with hi end ones that all come with grills they don’t need. I’ll bet they have speaker grills they’ve been tossing out that would work. It’d probably be black but that would...

    Transom crack inside the boat

I don’t know, you can get a boat like this, throw a new tank in it and a few other repairs and have a great useable boat. Even if he pays $5k and throws another $5k into it compare that to the price of a new Grady.

    Transom crack inside the boat

That crack just looks like the bracket was over tightened. Go over the crack with 3M5200 to seal it. You could point to that as a means to drive the price down but it wouldn’t worry me. You’ll see that kinda thing on brand new boats.

Has Anyone Tried This? Seafarer Side Panels

The carpet is wrapped around a board and will come out. Keep it simple. Replace the boards with starboard, Azek, or poly. It can be bought in colors and has been my plan to purchase it in tan to match my deck paint.
