    Rod adapters

As I said, first time with flush mounts, so bear with me. For what I've read, 0 degree are straight up, Im not sure what the factory degree ones are, but I'm thinking they are probably about 30? Im almost thinking maybe I need a 45, or maybe 60? I want the rods to point out the back maybe...

    Rod adapters

Being this is my first Grady and first boat with flush mount rod holders. All of my rods are straight butt ends. Been trying to find a bent butt adapter to put on the end of the rod, or maybe i need to look at changing the aft gunnel flush mount to a higher degree one, so the rods tips aren't...

    AutoPilot upgrade from manual hydraulic

Found out mine also has the 1500psi hoses. Though mine wasn't repowered when I bought it, so not sure why they got changed out.

    Polishing

Been working on compounding and polishing my 265. What are people using to get into some of the tight spaces, like around the outriggers and tower anchor points? Been looking at some of the mini da polishers, with maybe a 2" or 3" backer Thanks

    Boat Advice

I would agree with Skunk, you need to change your props. Im running the same setup as Skunk on a 265 as well, I hit around 43mph at around 6k rpms.

    list in slip

Mine is the same and probably a bit more, because I also have a 9.9 kicker on that side with a mounting bracket. It's coming off though in the next couple of weeks. Is the black water tank empty as well?

    stripe

Definitely go with an eraser wheel, I started with the heat gun, and was very tedious. Bought an eraser wheel at napa and made quick work of it

    265 express sanitation hoses

Yeah, I actually was going to do my deck drain hoses. I cut out the port side battery tray and to my surprise, the hoses looked fairly new. Weather around here hasn't been the greatest for working on the boat, so buttoned it back up. To many other things I'm wanting to get done, so probably...

    265 express sanitation hoses

Yeah, Im hoping I just need to flush out the tank and the hoses aren't the culprit of the smell. Doesn't look like any fun.

BUYER BEWARE, I WAS RIPPED OFF LAST NIGHT! ***UPDATE***

Sorry man, that sucks. That same scam is going on other social platforms as well, the "I know a guy" sales pitch.

    265 express sanitation hoses

Haven't had much luck in searching, but looking to see if any other 265 owners have replaced their holding tank/toilet hoses? Been getting a pretty bad smell coming from the head. I haven't done any treatment to it yet, thats on the list this weekend. I imagine they are probably original and...

    Engine trim with batteries off?

Oh, i had no intentions of cutting it down. Ive got it bundled up pretty clean right now.

    Engine trim with batteries off?

I'm guessing the woven harness is the engine harness, as my new Zukes that were put on have an excess of harness like that as well. Kinda wondered what to do with all that extra wiring without cutting the wiring down and adding new connectors. Agree it isn't the cleanest installation.

    Washdown

I did have it up, didn't notice any wiring corrosion. But the pump looked like it was probably the original or close to it. What pump did you replace it with?

    Washdown

So when I had the boat out doing the break-in, was getting familiar with stuff on the boat, since this was one of the first real runs I've had in it. When operating the washdown, it would come on and spray water for 30 sec to 1 min, then stop working. Turned off the switch, came back to it a...

    265 anchor and rode

These are the most common anchors in my area, but considering probably 90% of the boats are aluminum on the river, it isnt a surprise. For what I've read the plow style anchors work well on the Columbia river as well.

    265 anchor and rode

So i have a GC0762 gypsy, which for what I've found takes the 1/2" rode and 1/4" chain. Where are the best deals to be found for rode and chain? Looking for 25ft of chain and 300 ft of rode. Thanks
