Exactly what I did. Mounted new 20' tilted element thru hull just forward and slightly outboard of old one, which I left in place. Almost done with new install.

You will not be able to open the cooler under the helm seat, you have to pull the cooler out. Its been 4 years since I sold my 180 so I can't remember the cooler size. But if memory serves me, the space is not as high as it needs to be to use the cooler that fills the space horizontally.

Thanks guys. Quick question, the current windlass is horizontal (?) meaning the "wheel" part that spins lays flat. The 700 FF is "vertical" in that the spinning wheel is upright. Not sure I have the terminology correct. Are the two interchangeable or do I need to get the same kind??
