Congrats Chris! Glad you got it done before anything happened to you at sea. You would think that Yamaha would have sent you a notice about this or the dealer you bought the boat from. What did you think the buzzing noise was when you 1st heard it?

Resale value is not as good. Alot of boat buyers want 4 Strokes.

yes that ring gasket is $$ don't get any gas on it or you will have to buy a new one. The HPDI's are the engines that have the most issues from what I can tell. That filter has a very fine mesh and almost anything can plug it. Still that being said, its something you can do at the dock if...

Its not that hard to do and it does have a filter on the end of the pump that does need to be replace from time to time. So sooner or later you will need to change that filter. Some change it every 100 hours and some every 300 hours. If you are not having any problems I would look it over...

OX66 is going to drink a lot of gas, the F225 is not going to be enough for that 9.3 beam/heavy boat. The F225 is a great engine but its on the doggie side. I would not go with anything under a 250hp ENGINE on that boat. I would only go with twins on that boat.

I always used a bowl under the screw when I would drain the VST tank. That way you can just let the gas and the screw fall into the bowl. I always had a rag close by as well.

yes, have the hull checked out, the transom of the boat for water, or wetness. I would get a survey done and check the compression on each engine.

I had a 265 and loved it. It likes to run fast and is a great fishing boat. I am 6'4 and even at 6'2 I do not think you will be able to stand up without bending your knees. Thats one thing I did not like about the boat. If I were you I would jump from the 232 to the 300 Marlin or the 33...
