    Battery Charging

Very interesting Seasick, as I usually charge with position OFF and have found I need to charge each battery individually to achieve Full Charge to both. So that makes sense then. I will also try Positive to Batt 1 and Negative to Batt 2 as "ttles" suggests as both batteries are same make and...

    Battery Charging

I've just replaced my two house batteries with lead acid wet cells of 85amphr each. I have a Cetek charger and as the batteries are in series do i only need to hook up to one for them both to be fully charged?

    drainage/scuppers on the 265

No problems here ever; and we changed motors from 2 strokes to 4 stroke F225's and with the added weight she sits a little lower but still clears water fine. If we are bottom bouncing and there are 4 of us around the stern then a liitle water may sit there but once we move away from the stern...

    Help getting seat fabric?

G'day from Australia, my 265 needs new fabric on the bolsters and I would like someone to help source the material and i will obviously reimburse them for their time and expense. I have tried several times via email etc to get fabric from the US; direct thru dealers and a fabric warehouse but...

    M260 Transducer 265Express

I don't know why they persist with that advice but further back has to be better. In rough conditions that area could easily be out of the water. You want an area that has clean water and definitely no air!

thru hull transducer on 265 express

In case Gradyfish doesn't get back.....I've had mine in now for approx 3 years and with the large fairing block there is plenty of room. I would imagine any transducer including the tilted elemnet will fit. You may have to mount it slightly offcentre which is what they are designed for. I looked...

    Onboard "must have" list

Redundancy is key.Prepare for Murphy's Law. When something goes wrong usually more will go wrong. I have 2 VHF's, plus a hand held, Charts , a Chartplotter and a GPS, and a separate Sounder as well as the one included in my Chartplotter. Then for emergencies an 465mhz epirb and a ditch bag...

    265 repower

I went with F225's, as at the time F250 would cost $10,000 more and the newer lighter motors hadn't been released. Would make sense to go with lighter more powerful motors tho'. Of course price will be more than leftover F250's.

    M260 Transducer 265Express

I fitted a Airmar 1 kw transducer with high speed fairing block approx 3 years ago. IT was relatively easy. I chose not to run thru the rigging tubes as I was concerned about interference from power sources etc. I kept the cable under the coaming. There is plenty of room in the hatch to work...

Just got power back on after 2 days. We are fine and the house is good considering we had 2 large trees come down. The whole street has been helping each other and we are almost back to normal. I'm going to get the pool cleaned up today then off to the Mountain Bike tracks behind us where i...

    jekyl - Take Cover!

Thankyou for your thoughts. Anyone who doesn't believe in climate change should be having second thoughts by now.........We have just brought the washing in.......... and tied anything that may move, down. Grady parts dealer needed

Thanks Ed for your concern. I am situated 4 hours drive south of Cairns and whilst we had a very wet Christmas with some minor flooding from a small cyclone, the Brisbane/ Towoomba area is approx 1,200kms south of us. The forcefulness and speed of the flooding was astonishing and unfortunately...
