One fuel tank? If so check the tank vent for blockage ...or remove the cap when it happens and see if it starts and runs ok.

Wow..thats awesome. The F 300 top end on the 228 is also 48 mph so your not missing anything there.

I had a 2010 228 w f 250 and it was ok. Top end was 41mph at 6k rpm. Did 2.9 mpg at cruise. Like you I believe the f 300 would be the bomb !

How many hours on the F 150's? Do they run well? I think a new f350 is 25k -30k..not installed, and they have had some issues (flywheel , water ingestion etc). You cant just troll with one f 150 running and one shut down? It seems to me that you are looking to complicate your boating...

Do you only have one fuel pickup for both engines? Thats usually not the case, but it may be possible. If you have 2 pickups then I would say that you ran out of gas as the coincidence of both pickups having holes or clogged and both engines stopping at the same time seems highly unlikely.

Ugh..thats bad. Were the anodes between the spark plugs ever replaced? Not sure if the f225 has anodes by the thermostat (my f250 does). Do you know if they were ever replaced? If they were replaced and it still rotted out, thats even worse. Hope you get a good deal on your powerhead.

I have a Yamaha F 250 on a 228. I use the 15 1/2 x 17 both in Yam and Merc Mirage Plus. WOT =6000rpm. Not sure if the Yam prop will fit ur Suzi but the Mirage Plus works with a Flo Torque hub and Im pretty sure that one is available for your Suzi to make the conversion.

I also have an 8" screen , flush mounted, and it has been fine for me. It is a touch screen so in split screen form I can just make one side or the other larger or smaller or make it full on depth or full on navigation with a touch of the finger. Works fine for me.
