I'm 6'4" so don't need the extra height. Not sure I like the idea of two different seats but if I got a new one it would go on the port side for sure.

My helm seats work fine and the cushions look good on my '95 208. Would like to find a more comfortable seat that I don't feel like I'm always falling out of. Anyone change their helm seats to something more comfortable. Concerned about clearance between the seats.

I have a 208. Love it for the storage. I do find that it is not as nice as a 234 foot center console when going out for a sunset cruise with a few other couples. Running a trolling motor with a 208 is also a bit dicey because the bow is so high.

I just finished mine. Only changes were that I didn't wipe off the stain as it didn't really penetrate all that well. Let it dry overnight and then put on 7 coats of marine varnish. My wife hated getting on the boat now she loves it. Looks much better. Only problems I had were at the helm...

I had the same problem with mine. Went so far as to buy a new set up and got the old one 80% removed when I saw the seacock in the bilge. Opened it up and it worked fine.

I'm looking to start this project on my 208. I have not been able to find a good reasonably priced source of the wood. Anyone with experience doing this? Just cannot stand the look of the duratrim anymore.

I had a kicker on my boat in the past but then it died. YOu need to go with as long a shaft as you can because if it's too short it will cavitate. You also need to push it out a bit from the stern as the cowling will hit the stern when you try to tilt it up. I put mine on a Panther remote...

Unless you're really short, sleeping in the 208 cuddy is no picnic. Get some good pillows and a good sleeping bag.
