This came in this week. Sea-Scan 4" aft leaning radar mount. This should get the Halo 24 beam above my other stuff on the hardtop but not be overly tall. Slowly gathering parts for the radar install.

Decided to go with the Simrad HS60 and replace my Point-1 GPS antenna. Simpler installation and just have one piece to deal with. Considered the Precision-9, but had to find a location to mount it.

Is that top plate angle adjustable? Is that two separate parts?

My bad. Yes, as it sits there, it comes with a 2° forward down tilt. They supply shims that go under rear bolts for the radar in 1° increments, with a total of 2 shims per side in the rear to make the standard 4° down angle.

I changed mine from a closed to an open array, mount on the hump and adjusted the rear base up. As it old array was on a pedestal.

I used a backing board under the hardtop, mounted the motor with a read wedge. I had replaced a radome that was pedestal mounted.

Took off the old raytheon and swapping for a Fantom 24. Bolt holes were same exact pattern. :)
this is where it ends up. I like the look there and I was going to leave it there since it will clear wires when towing and I don't have to drill any holes or spend anymore money.

When I fired it up I can hear it though...maybe because it was loosely held in place...but it resonanted on the hardtop. So I will probably go with the 4" Sea Scan aft leaning.
I like that Sea Scan comes with the plate and shims.

Best one I have. aft leaning, slight down angle, approx 6" rise with GPS and light sensors mounted on an attached mount bar.

Here ya go skunk,,,, did a dry fit with my mockup to see what kind of footprint this thing is going to have. 4" does clear the hump, and not overly tall for trailering.

Looking good. I have a bigger top so it won't hang over the front as much but the hump is the same..so that height is right.

As for trailering...265 is a lot taller and its not on a trailer its on stands in my driveway. It gets hauled. So I can' t measure. I'm going to have a measuring stick ready when they come.
I'll mount it to the top in the existing holes for launch and do the seascan later. It has a differnt bolt pattern

Looks like tree pollen falling on the new shine.......o_O

I've got it as far forward as I can go to give the other antennas a view to the sky. I think it should work there.

You are correct. Heavy amounts of tree pollen down here in the spring.

I mounted a Halo 20+ on my 265 with a 6" mount. Doesn't seem too high. Ill see if I can get a better photo than this....... I also mounted a light bar since this photo. I love how it looks!!!

KY, question...I see an exit for wires in the back. Is there and exit for wires on the bottom?

Ky Grady, Are you going to try to get it mounted before the Marathon trip?

Skunk,,, yep you can run it straight down, will only have the top grommet to go through.

Half,,, no, I will pick up later in the year. Going after the boat next Friday and have a bunch of work to do to get her ready to go for Marathon, running out of time.

I ordered a SeaScan A400 on their website a few weeks ago, paid by PayPal. Got paypal email.. Never got any response from SeaScan. no confirmation,no invoice.
After a few emails to them I finally got a response.:(
Owner passed away suddenly. All orders will be refunded.
