Thanks for the feedback...the 36 feels right at 4500 to 4800 rpm. That give a 29 knot cruise and gets it on a plane. I worry as I was taught that 4200 was right for longevity. We will see!

Bought a 36 express with 400 hours on it...it runs great but I am unsure what is the "right" cruise RPM range for these engines...any advise appreciated. Kent

We just bought a used 36 express and live in Naples. We ned to take the boat to Fort Lauderdale for staging for a bahamas trip. Does anyone know if its faster through the lake or via the keys?
