    Fisherman 257 vs Canyon 271

Hi I have a 2017 257 w/ twin 150s. I downsized from a Sailfish. For me the 271 wasn't worth the additional $90K given how I fish. I'm sure the additional ~1ft beam and the ~1500lb weight difference could provide a better ride if you are planning to be in frequent rough water and the extra 50...

    Fisherman 236 vs 257

Hi John, I have a 2017 257 w/ twin 150s. It is my 4th Grady over the years (i.e., 208, 268, 282) and now that my kids are older it is perfect for what I do most - fish. When comparing the 236 and 257 it came down to several factors for me: 1. Twin engine option - offshore reliability and...

    Feedback on 282 Sailfish (2002 to 2008)

After I purchase2003 282 Sailfish always had water in the front bilge. When I purchased my new to me 2003 282 Sailfish I too noticed that it always had water in the front bilge. It was enough so that once someone step up to the bow the pump would kick on. I figured it was coming from the anchor...

    Feedback on 282 Sailfish (2002 to 2008)

Had a 2003 w/ twin 225s. Always thought the 250s would have been a better match, but do agree with Iceman that this is a great boat for offshore fishing and cruising with family. My only 2 complaints were the width between the 2 captain's chairs (perhaps side bench may be better spaced) and it...

    AGM Batteries

Thanks! I do believe the batteries were trickled over the winter, but note taken. Will purchase a digital multimeter for sure. Appreciate the information and advice!

    AGM Batteries

Thanks. Yes, when I start on “both” and then switch back to the battery bank, it does not take a charge over time. I’m afraid I don’t know what the voltage is when running on the battery - not sure the Yamaha 6YC displays a numbers, I only recall seeing a graphic.
