    correct props for 1988 sailfish 255 w/ 200 hp yamaha HPDIs ?

I had a 265 with 200 hpdi's, similar hull as far as weight/beam goes. I ran 15 1/4 x 17's and turned 5800 rpm trimmed out with a good load and the boat ran mint. I believe i used to get about 1.7 mpg in the bay and about 1.5 mpg running offshore.

    300 HPDI's on 330 Express

My buddy has a pair of 300's and they suck. He has gone thru 3 powerheads in the first 100hrs and he has had 2 starters replaced due to corrosion/rust issues, so I would agree that there is water intrusion issues. They run good when they run, but they use alot of fuel and alot of oil. Yamamha...

    Oil Tank Capacity

I had the bigger ones in my 2001 265 w/hpdi's, I do recall them being in the ballpark of 4-5 gallons.

motor height on a 265? can't find orig. post

My hpdi's were mounted at the lowest hole as well. When I was getting ready to swap mototrs (newer hpdi's), I called Grady and they told me to definitely mount them at the lowest hole and that the hull was designed to run as such.

    Yes

NA2P, sorry I did not think about the ticket thing. My buddies and I usually take the train in to the city, the LIRR offers a "boat show special" which is a package deal for the train ticket and show ticket for around $20 bucks. New ride is great so far, extremely offshore oriented and also...

    265 Express

Gradyfish22 is 100% accurate, again. I just got out of my 265, it was a 2001 with 200hpdi's. I loved the boat, it was extremely offshore capable, and very fast (cruise was 28-32mph, all day). My friends and I thought she was a little tender at times, but I have shark fished in 4-6's and it...

I guess this is the "28 express" my dealer spoke of, but did not have any details on. Looks like a nice rig.

200 Yamaha HPDI 265 OWNERS- Do these numbers seem right?

I would buy this model again if I had a "do-over". I looked at the Sailfish as well, but I concluded that I like the transom better on the 265, plus the seating is better for me- i have little kids. I have been out in some wicked seas, the boat is tough, i can't see how the sailfish would have...

200 Yamaha HPDI 265 OWNERS- Do these numbers seem right?

Update on fuel burn - took the boat out last night after dinner. Me, 3/4 full fuel, 2 kids, left wife to clean up dinner. 3800 rpm's, 25 knots (28.75 mph ?), 15 gph, 1.8-1.9 mpg. It was flat, with a little wind, I was happy with those numbers. We also caught 2, 3-4lb. blue fish in the bay...
