    Not enough power?

You are way under powered, especially for 7 people. That boat is rated for at least 400 horse power.

    trim tab issue

Mine quit working and it turned out to be an electrical problem at the main fuse block.

    Burn Rate

Blindmullet, I also have a Explorer 246G with a 300 Zuke. I am running the old style Suzuki 16x17 prop the dealer put on the motor and feel that I could do better. What prop are you running?

    Water leak in storage box

I have made sure not to spray water on the door or seat pedestals. There is always more water in the back of the box (opposite from the door). The amount of water in the box depends on how much it has rained since last I used the boat. The boat is 2.5 hours away so I will check again next time I...

    Water leak in storage box

There are no tackle boxes. It is a storage box with a fabric liner. It is completely inside the curtains. I was checking to see if anyone had dealt with this leak before I pull out the fabric to investigate further.

    Water leak in storage box

1992 24' Explorer has rain water leaking into the storage box under the helm chair. This has just started this year. It has a hard top and I store the boat with all the curtains on, so there is a limited way the rain could be getting into the box. Has anyone had this problem and found the source...

    Horn replacement

Try hitting the horn with a rubber mallet before buying a new horn. After replacing mine a few times over the years, I found that the horn will usually work again after a few whacks.

    Fuel capacity

My '92 Explorer has 148 gallon total capacity. I am not near the boat but I believe they are 93 gallon and 55 gallon. I have a Suzuki DF300. Never checked the exact MPG.

    Grady Bracket stripped screw

I have a 1992 Explorer 246G. One of the two screw holes in the aluminum bracket for the zinc anode bar has stripped. Now the zinc will not stay tight against the bracket and is allowing some corrosion. I don't want to use any dissimilar metals in repair that might make the corrosion worse. Has...

08’ 330 express Live well And wash down works one day. Doesn’t the next

I have owned a 1992 Explorer for 16 years. It came with a Jabsco pump that usually has to be replaced every few years. Never had one to last more than 4 seasons.

Explorer 246G bracket & swim platform

The wood core of my swim platform is waterlogged. I am debating whether to just repair the swim platform or replace it and the bracket with a new Armstrong bracket. Anyone installed an Armstrong bracket on an Explorer (or 22' Seafarer) and if so, how do you like the results?

Keeping critters out of the cabin

I had raccoons getting in my cabin and used galvanized cage wire shoved into each side to block access. Has worked to keep them out for more than 10 years.

    '93 244 Explorer Repower

I have a 2016 Suzuki DF300 on my 1992 246G Explorer. No problem with weight. Love the motor, especially the electronic throttle. Yamaha 300 weighs even less.

    GW Marlin 300 Re-power

Not a Marlin but I have a 300 Suzuki on a 24 Explorer. Motor is super quiet, better on fuel than my old 250hp four stroke, all the power you want when you need it and the electronic throttle/shift control is awesome. The only advantage Yamaha has is weight.

    Fuel gauge main/aux switch?

Does the rocker switch send power to the fuel gauge or does it simply make the connection from the main tank's sender unit wire or the auxiliary tank's sender unit wire when the selection is made?
