    228 Seafarer upgrades questions. MFDs - 2 9s? 1 12" or 16"? Auto-deploy trolling motor and shaft length?

I'm a Lake Michigan troller with a 1991 241 Offshore with a hardtop. I've been running a Raymarine E165, 16" display on a gimbled mount. I like the fact I can see the depth, speed, radar, etc. from the back of the boat when setting lines or reeling in a fish.

I've got one on my 1991 24 Offshore, Can't say if it's good or bad, never caused a problem other than cleaning off the dead bugs!

    1991 Offshore

Dan, I've got a 91 Offshore also and replaced them years ago. If i remember correctly they are made by Todd. I just googled "boat seat pedestal plastic bushings" and there's a lot of choices. Just get the measurements and confirm that they will fit. I don't remember if i had to cut the length...

    Fuel Bladder 272 Sailfish

I would experiment with a plastic 30gal or larger container filled with water or sand bags. If the weight doesn't work you invested almost nothing.

    downrigger connection Grady 228

I have digi-troll's and don't have a problem in or out of the water. On my cannons the set-up procedure is to bring the ball to the water line (or where you want it to stop) press the menu key till you get "0" on the display, turn the unit off (double click the on/off) then turn the unit on...

Gulfstream 232 Fuel Tank Removal (1990)

I recommend that you don't cut the tank up to remove it! If there is any fuel or fumes in the tank any spark from your tool might cause an explosion. Cut the lip as others have recommended, remove the tank and drain any remaining fuel before recycling or disposal.
