Blank Grady Instrument Panel, 1993 time frame

Yes, that's what I'm trying to match, but the carbon fiber would also work well.

Blank Grady Instrument Panel, 1993 time frame

We're repowering a 1993 246GT Explorer this winter. The instrument panel will obviously be replaced. The shop doing the repower suggests a piece of Starboard, but that appears to be the cheap and easy solution. Can anyone recommend a source for the raw material to make a new panel that is...

Need advice- Repower 1993 246GT Explorer

I'm posting this for my dad who has a 1993 246GT Explorer (twin 150's on a bracket) that he's owned since new. He's thinking of repowering with 150 Etecs, but is looking for feedback on any possible pitfalls. Its Etecs over Yamaha 4S due to the weight differential. We've heard from several...

Cockpit Trim Restoration - 1993 Explorer

The laminate, false wood, cockpit trim is really showing signs of age. Does anyone know of any options to either restore the original look, or to replace the trim? Thanks, Scott

    Removing Fuel From a 2002 Escape 209

The anti-siphon valve at the tank will not allow this to work. I'll give another plug to the after market fuel pump, connected to the fuel bulb. I drain my Escape this way every year.

Have Price Quote for '08 Escape

What he said. The 150 is a small engine for this boat, especially one with the added weight / resistance of the t-top.

    209 Escape Questions

I have a 2005 209 with a 2005 200 HPDI out of Fire Island Inlet. Great boat / engine combo. It's a heavy, solid 20' boat that handles the sea very well for its size. FI Inlet can get nasty with the right combination of current and wind. This boat can hold her own. With a T-top and deluxe...

    Radar Question

The main reason to have radar is for collision avoidance in reduced visability. The 'cookie crumbs' on the GPS will not help you avoid a collision. I have a Furuno 1715 on a 209 Escape. IMHO, that radar is perfect for a small boat.

The Yamaha 10 micron filter is a much larger canister than their old 30 micron and is rated at 90 GPH.

Airmar B60 tilted element 600w FLUSH mount transducer

What air pocket? The TE transducer is flush to the bottom. I wouldn't mount it behind the washdown pickup as that will intruduce turbulent flow over the transducer.

Airmar B60 tilted element 600w FLUSH mount transducer

I have a 209 Escape. The first transducer was transom mounted, installed by the dealer, and it fed a Raymarine FF. I lost bottom at any speed over 10 kts. It was useless in cruise. After one season, I was fed up with the Raymarine FF and transducer. These were upgraded to a Furuno 582 FF...

    2001 200Hp HPDI Hour Disparity

What are you using to determine the engine hours? Is it via the hours on the tachs, or a printout from the Yamaha diagnostics? If it's from the tachs, the differences could be explained by a tach replacement a few years ago. I agree with the other response, have a tech download each engine...

    1994 Explorer with a 4 stroke

You may want to reconsider your concerns about the additional weight of the 4-stroke. The Explorer was available with twins on a grady bracket. The combined weight of two 150's plus the bracket would surely be greater than a single 4-stroke. With that said, the notched transom may sit too...

    209 Escape

2005 209 Escape with a 200 HPDI. Picked up last Saturday, spent all week before work getting the electronics installed and just put the lettering on today. Northstar 952 GPS, Raymarine 600X FF, Furuno radar, Standard VHF, and Sony AM/FM/CD/MP3 with Sirius. 28 kts at 4000 and 30 kts at 4400...

What model Grady White do you own?

Dr. Kleen, Do you have the time zone set correctly? I see that you are on the East Coast. During daylight savings time, there is a five hour difference between GMT and local time. GMT is what GPS is based on, it then corrects for your local time zone to display local time.
