I am very unexpectedly going to be traveling to Mexico in the Puerto Vallarta region. The furthest south I have ever been is Cincinnati, so I have no idea about fishing down there. I'm considering a charter and would ask if anyone could make a recommendation in the Puerto Vallarta airport area.

The 175 would be the best choice, and you will get used to the colour. Make all the Mercury owners jealous having a trouble-free black motor.....;)

You're a nice part of it @luckydude, every group is a sum of its' parts.

You may find that that transducer looses bottom over 40 MPH, that has been my experience with mine on a Lowrance Carbon.

Is it possible the boat wasn't in neutral on the first attempt?
