    Sending Units

I have a 2004 282 Sailfish with the 150 gallon main tank and the 70 gallon auxiliary tank. I need sending units for both. I am not near the boat right now. What have you all replaced them with? Part numbers and sources would be appreciated. Need to order soon.

Fuel Line Replacement on 2004 Salilfish 282

Question: I am not near my boat right now... Are the tanks vented up to the caps, or to the side of the hull? Trying to decide which filler necks to buy for my 04 282...

55' of Grady White Beige 1-3/8 x 1/4 Flexible Vinyl Trim

Did anybody find a source to buy the Beige F8252 by the foot? If not, does anybody else want to split a 55' roll? I only need to do my cockpit, prolly about 16' or so.

Russ, what did you end up doing? Did you find a source? My search for the same weather stripping brought me to this post...

    330 transom rot

What kind of wood does my 04 282 have in the transom? Are they prone to rot? So far, it passes the tests but I have not put a meter on it.

    Marlin Windshield Washer Part# ?

It took a little time running around to a few different hardware stores to find the right fittings to make it work, but once I found them, the rest was easy. Wired it up to a back-lit switch and put the switch where the old twist valve was. The back-lit switch is wired to light up when the nav...

    Marlin Windshield Washer Part# ?

If anyone else needs one, I have a perfectly functional take-off. I replaced it with an electric valve & switch.

    Under Water Lights

I am considering this option for the middle one... I have discovered that no matter how I twist or contort myself trying to reach down into the access panels to reach where the back of the hole will come through, I cannot get in there far enough. They come with a rubber stress reliever that...

    Bilge pump discharge routing?

I have double-clamps on all the thru-hulls/petcocks below the water line. Does everyone use doubles above the water line as well? G-W did not use doubles on them, nor the scuppers (I ordered new clamps to double-clamp those).

    Switch LEDs

I don't really want to swap the switches, but if I do I will look you up.

    Bilge pump discharge routing?

Got it done, just like you said. The hardest part was routing the new hose. It is curved from being in the box, so had to use heat to straighten it out and push it back in there. Accessing the thru-hull was the easy part.

    Windshield Washer Part

Just wanted to come back and say thanks! This part worked perfect. If you need to make the same repair, get new wiper blade hose because the old one will split as soon as you try to fit it on the barb.

    Under Water Lights

If you have added underwater lights to the transom of an 04 282 Sailfish, I'd be interested in photos showing where you put them, even better, some measurements.

    Switch LEDs

Anybody ever changed the LED lights out in the OEM switches? My nice blue lens NewWire rocker covers light up green instead of blue because the LEDs are amber... P/N for replacement LEDs would help...

    Bilge pump discharge routing?

2004 282 Sailfish: The rear bilge pump discharge hose seems stiff and brittle, so going to replace it while I have the pump out... I am contemplating replacing the hoses on both the foreward bilge pump and the shower sump. Has anyone done this? Any photos or sketches on how they are routed...

    Outrigger use on freshwater?

I use mine for traditional purposes, but I also use them when bottom fishing to spread out the lines... Set the clips for medium tension, and that will set the hook them pop off. Rocking of the boat works the jigging motion for you!
