I had the 208 for 9 years and loved it . This year I bought a 228 and it is bettre then then what i was hoping for ,ride, size, fuel useage. I run offshore alot and inshore it works great. Well worth the money. Life is short, enjoy!!!!

I am getting ready to mount a transducer on my new 228 dose anyone have any advice on location that works well. There are trim tabs on the boat also.

Thanks for the replays! I do not have much exp. with Garmin units. Are the fish finders any good? I do use a Garmin Handheld For hunting and realy like it. What uint are they using with siruis weather?

I just bought a new 228 and I am trying to decide on electronics. Dose anyone have any exp. with C90 or nav net units? Also how well dose the Surius weather work compared to radar for wathching for t-storms in the summer. Thanks for the help tough decisions.

Congratulations on the 208!!! I have the same boat and love it, Ive fish 45 miles off the beach to all over the bay in OC Maryland. It has treated me realy well. How many hours on your motor? I have the same motor and was thinking about repower this year, but not sure. Or some thing newer.Good luck

How much differance is there in the ride between the 22 with the bracket on the back compared to mounting on the transom? How much better would the ride be then my 208?

I have a 1998 208 and have have 4 men fishing, gaffing 100 lb. tuna at the side of the boat never had any water. I have a 175 yam. and love this boat. Good luck on your dis.

Thanks Guys I will try it tommorow I am heading down with a great weekend forcast. I was out tog fishing last week and did real good. But best of all as bad as the world is it's still very stress relieving to be out on my grady!!!!

I tow my 208 with a 1999 f250 superduty deisel best tow truck I've had you don't even know it's there. I make 12,14 towing and 19 on the highway empty. I have had f150, chevy 1500 none compare.

208 great boat, I love my 98 208 and was thinking of a hard top myself but was woundering if it ups the fuel useage? I have a canvas top now. Think Spring!!!!!

What are the percautions when useing ethanol gas in my 1998 208 with a 175 yamaha. I have heard a lot of diffrent things any good advice.

bottom paint I just got done with my bottom paint nasty job!! I just had to touch up this year. I have to do mine every other year and don't have any problems. I don't want to get it on to heavy and have to sand it off. This is my 9th year. The boat is in OC Maryland, good luck!
