    Rack Storage/ Covers

I have a tournament 205. After keeping on the trailer for the past two years, I am rack storing it now. I don't want to buy a fully snapped cover for the boat, but I want the best protection possible. What would you suggest? Would a cockpit cover be ok? Will the gelcoat fade at a different...

    Leaky Lower Unit

I changed my lower unit fluid for the first time on my F200 about 3 months ago. I have done this service on my old T40 several times. Since then I have taken out my boat twice. I noticed yesterday, that I was leaking lower unit lube. I changed both gaskets once the oil was changed. It seems...

    Best Boat Show in VA

For the past 15 years I have been going to either the New York Boat Show, Boston In Water Show, or/and the New England Boat Show. They are HUGE shows and take nearly the whole day to get through. Since I moved to Virginia I have attended the Baltimore boat show twice and have been disappointed...

    F200 Yearly Maintenance Questions.

This weekend I completed my winter maintenance on my F200. It was my first time competing this work, and it took me nearly 2 hours. It was a pleasant experience, but I have three questions. 1. I read my owner's manual for the engine oil amount. Under the specifications it said that 6.3 quarts...

    Oil Leak F200

I have a 2004 F200 with 129 hours. This weekend in the heat (80 degrees) I noticed a little engine oil on my skeg. My motor was not trimmed at that point, and I didn't see any overflowing oil under the cowling. When I checked the oil cool it was way over the oil limit, but cool it was at...

    Soft Bunks

I have a 2004 Magic Tilt trailer with bunks. The trailer sat exposed to the elements for 6 years unused. I am now using it full time and noticed the bunks are soft. I drilled though them easily. I inspected under some carpet, and they don't look rotten. Should I be concerned about this?

    F200 Running Temperature

I am slowing getting through some troubles with my 2004 205. My gauges have not fully worked since I bought the boat. I am considering to put off the work until I can gather some more money. I am concerned that my overheat alarm would not be working if my gauges are spotty. Here is what works...

    Motor Well Modifications

I have a 205 tournament, and the first mate is not pleased with the exposed lines in the motorwell. This was the first thing she noticed when we went to see a sistership 8 months ago. There are two distinct sets of lines. The first are the gas and motor controls, the second is the hydraulic...

The lady and I decided to get a tournament boat. But we are looking to take two overnight cruising trips this summer. The plan would be to launch the boat, travel for 4 or 5 hours, get a hotel on the water with a mooring, and return. Can anyone suggest a trip itinerary? Does anyone know of...
