    Refrigerator Replacement 2000 Marlin

On my 99 Marlin, which I no longer have, I replaced my broken Norcold with the Isotherm Cruise CR 49. I did the install myself which was basically plug and play, and tapped into the 120v line which feeds the 120v cabin outlet under the stairs so i could use AC power for the fridge at the dock...

Marlin helm lounge seat backrest removal

Anyone know how to remove the backrest so I can bring it somewhere to get repaired? My Marlin's a '99 - not sure if that matters. Thanks

    Custom Marlin Helm Pad

Looks good! I'd like to get one for my '99 Marlin. Contact and pricing info please. Anything you'd do slightly differently (e.g., size or thickness) if you had to do it again? Thanks!

Sell me on a Marlin vs 305 Express

I think I mentioned this in some prior posts but I have a '99 Marlin and a newer 305 is slipped right next to me. I feel like my cockpit, helm AND cabin feel more roomier. Even though the 305 is supposed to have a larger cabin there's so much stuff cramped in there, not to mention the lack of...

    Stereo system - Marlin 300

Thanks Rob. It would be great if you're able to let me know if you think 8's or 9's will also fit in there (i.e., based on circumference and depth). The 8's or 9's will have better low range bass even though the JL 7's may have more accurate sound production in the highs and mid bass and I'm not...

    Stereo system - Marlin 300

REB or anyone else. Any idea what the largest size speaker that would fit in the lower step of the walk around (I have a '99 Marlin)? I don't have access to my boat for a bit and in the meantime I want to order a set of the largest speakers that will fit there to replace the small inspection...

Love my Marlin, so 'Sell' me on getting a 330!

Ok so comfortablynumb has nearly sold me on moving from my Marlin into a 330 if the opportunity and finances allow based on his description of the ride alone!! One remaining question though, was I imagining things or is there a lot less headroom in the main birth, and if there's less headroom do...

Love my Marlin, so 'Sell' me on getting a 330!

I used to fish on my friend's 330 and the helm area is definitely tight. It's just a matter of whether that bothers you or not and whether that's outweighed by the benefits. I find the cockpits and fishability are pretty similar. As far as the cabin and overnighting, I have a '99 Marlin and...

    Flush Mount Electronics

I have a '99 Marlin and just picked up an 8212 at the blowout price which was just too good to pass up. I measured over the weekend and the top of the helm box will definitely need to be cut to use with a custom face plate and then I figure finish it off with some sort molding on top. I'm also...

    Marlin Stereo Upgrade

I'm finally getting around to updating my stereo on my '99 Marlin. I'd prefer to keep everything under $1k, especially since there will be added installation costs, and I'll probably wait until a good sale since my season is almost over and I'd like to get this done before Spring launch...

    Interior window curtains

Got the answer - easily removed end screws in track, slid them out and will have new curtains made up.

    Interior window curtains

On my '99 Marlin, any tips or advice on removing the interior window curtains for replacement? Do the entire tracks need to be removed or can you just carefully pry out the plastic knobs that slide inside the track and to which the curtains appear to be permanently attached?

    A/C pan and rust

I currently have my fridge out to replace and there was about 1" of standing water in the bottom of the a/c pan. I have a '99 Marlin. I soaked up the water but there's a fair amount of rust and also I'm not sure if the pan has a drain (manual says it does but it's so cramped in there I couldn't...

Marlin docking help stern to with wind

I spent considerable time with this yesterday practicing. Throttles only with plenty of power definitely yields more control in close quarter maneuvering for the most part. However, after using only the throttles to stem the wind and position to back up, the wheel seems to be better for reverse...

Marlin docking help stern to with wind

I could use some tips on docking my Marlin stern to WITH the wind. Backing up with the wind (yikes) I keep losing the bow and then it seems like a split second until I'm too close broadside to my neighbors' slip to make any corrections other than to creatively pivot off one of the pilings on...

    Sea Dek

Bob - how much did the materials cost? I'm thinking of doing this for my '99 Marlin. I'm also looking at some other options like NautikFlor, which looks great but it only comes in planks which need to be cut. Also, if anyone has worked with any of the companies and already had a template done...

    cup holder drain hose

Thanks I'll just use the dremel and tape and proceed carefully. If you search for "impact drain" on the West Marine website it shows a picture. My prior boat, a Scout, used those to drain stuff to the deck (rod holders or cupholders - I can't remember which).

    Rub Rail End Caps

I just picked up a pair of the plastic end caps from a local Grady dealer (Spellmans) who had a set lying around, so if anyone else doesn't want to wait to see if these elusive stainless ones will materialize then I suggest calling around to a bunch of Grady dealers.

    cup holder drain hose

I just got the ss cupholders from Prime and I'm ready to install them with new hoses and impact drains to the deck on my '99 Marlin. The hole cutout needs to be enlarged to fit the ss cupholders. Has anyone who's done this know what size hole saw to use or did you just use a dremel to widen the...

    Rub Rail end caps

I also need a set for my '99 Marlin. My end caps are almost completely disintegrated. Anyone have any updates on this?
