Thanks for the suggestion Bill. The original straps were clear and I assumed made of the same material as the glass. Not sure if this hardware allows the straps to rotate 90 degrees to then attach to another toggle so they are neatly out of the way when not in use, which is what I am looking for.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It was the front and back of the plastic seat that had separated where one screw post had fractured. I glued it together with Minipoxy epoxy adhesive and applied a vice grip for an hour and it made a great bond.
