Hopefully the cracks aren't too bad, that's what caused me to cut my losses on my project. When I pulled the 96 200 Johnson off of my Wellcraft, I just used a length of chain attached to an unused bolt hole and a starter bolt. On the V-4 motors I used a lift plate.

Congrats on the new project. Not sure where you're located but I have a new jackplate and bolts left from my recently sold Grady Project. I also have a no feedback helm and steering cable that were fairly new.

My 82 Tarpon has a 40 gal tank in it, OEM tank. They're pretty much the same boat.

I called rds aluminum in fl about a tank for mine and they had the plans on file, they were the oem maker of my tank. I wound up not needing a tank anyway.

Nice work. I'll be replacing the transom on my 82 model in a few weeks. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a picture of the splashwell from inside the boat. I plan on raising my transom from 20" to 25" and May need to rework the area. Thanks

I thought the Guest chargers were waterproof? I hope mine is, it was on my boat when it was trashed in Sandy and I haven't tested it yet.

I used Dupont spectrumcolor vinyl dye on my boat. The only problem is that I'm the autobody business and have access to the materials. I picked a color that was close,cleaned the vinyl and sprayed it. I did it last year and its held up ok.There is a company in NJ that I've sen advertised on THT.

Trim tabs were the best mod I ever made on my Striper. On my Wellcraft I missed them so I put them on there too. Ill find out soon if they were worth it, I'm sure they were.

With a compression test your looking more for variance in the cylinders than overall psi. When you did the test was your throttle wide open? I wanted to change the one that is on my boat. I have a no feedback teleflex helm from my Striper and it looks a lot different than the one that's on my boat. I'm not sure if its going to fit in my boat.

That compartment isn't a live well. I believe it's just for storage. Make sure you don't leave standing water in there since your stringers are on the sides. I'm not sure if these boats came with a live well.
