    Towing Capacity

This is a topic discussed quite frequently on RV and P/U truck forums and is widely misunderstood. For example: someone has a truck with a 10K towing capacity and thinks they can tow a 9K boat with room to spare because the salesman told him so.

    Rough April

Here on the Northern Gulf Coast, April is usually the kickoff to the offshore boating season. Not this year, been doing this a long time and these winds are the worst I have ever seen. Hopefully May will be better.

    Higher Fuel Prices

Something to be mindful of with all the events going on is about higher fuel prices. As we know this hits the boating community quite hard, just hoping it doesn't get out of control.

    New Trash Dispenser

At the boat show this weekend and some guy was selling these. I was thinking this would be great if I had a good place to mount. Bought it and fits perfect behind my helm chair. This thing is well made and most of the time should be large enough. Just freeing up that much more deck space makes...

    Water in bilge

Man I was thinking my new Grady sure is watertight when I would remove the plug and no water would drain out. The other day I removed the deck access covers and noticed quite a bit of water in the bilge at amidships but none towards the stern. OK I did a big DUH, seeing the variable deadrise...
