    Wiring questions rel 2002 282

I need a little help with lighting. I lost power to the headlight, the aft cabin light and now the horn don't work~~~~ The owner's manual is only good for wire colors. For example it states all cabin lights terminate at the main fuse panel. This is incorrect, main cabin lights terminate at a 10...

    Winterize???

I hear a lot of talk about putting the boat up for the winter. Are you kidding, not us. Still Rock Fishing in the Bay, and Offshore Chasing Big BFT and deep dropping on the edge when we can get there! Anyone else! Jekyl; you don't count! I could only wish I lived in Queensland!

    Hardtop Alignment

I was relocating several clamp-on rod holders this weekend and something was just not right. The holders on port/starboard vertical pipes were in the exact location at the exact same angle. However, when I placed a rod in them one was closer to the hardtop edge than the other. Steping back...

    HDS10 and TM260, Trying Shallow

The weather has kept us from the edge and getting this system in truly deep water. So, I spent some time IVO Bloody Point in the 130 to 160 foot area. Running from my back yard, South Creek into West River we cross some shallow water at low tide. I thought I would have a look at the TM260 in...

Electronics Install on the Canyon Draggin'

We recently completed a flush mount of two HDS 10 units on the Canyon Draggin'. Here are a few shots of the install: http://reeldraggintackle.com/images/Fish%20Pictures/Canyon%20Draggin/100_4004.JPG http://reeldraggintackle.com/images/Fish%20Pictures/Canyon%20Draggin/100_4004.JPG - The...

    LIVE Well Issues

My Livewell overfills with water when the pump is running and we are on plane. Has anyone had this issue? It seems it is not draining fast enough or the drain stem is too tall. I was thinking of putting more holes in the drain stem to keep the level down. Any thoughts?

    RDT Fish Report

Today reel Draggin' Tackle was on board the Muff Diver with another great bunch of local anglers. We departed at 4am and made an early run out to the area around the Hambone. The spread was not in long before the first line went off. The first fish broke off when it made a quick run under the...

    RDT Fish Report

It was a busy day for the Reel Draggin' TAckle Anglers on the Muff Diver Wednesday 16 July. We departed OC at 5am headed for the structure around the dog and the bone. After lines were in for about 10 min we get our first bite. It takes line and lots of it several times, so we know it a big in...

    RDT Fish Report

Reel Draggin' Tackle Fish Report The Canyon Draggin' left OC at 5am, clearing the inlet with the rest of the departing fleet. We were greated with nearly flat sea conditions and very light winds. When we turned around as saw the number of boats that split right to head to Lumpy and left to...

Saturday we fished two boats working the 461/500 fathom hills and then send one boat back to the edge, while we fished the deep working our way down to the Washington Canyon . The Hanu entered the Washington Canyon from the tip and the Canyon Draggin Entered from the deep. Throughout the day...

    1st Canyon Run of 2008

Yesterday was the first run to the deep for the Canyon' Draggin. We had aboard charters Larry and Lance from Connecticut and Jerry from Maryland. Based on a 2am Sat shot, we ran to the Norfolk Canyon and found 64.3 degree water. We decided to run through and out the back for that warm 77...

    Sailfish Suprise

Fished the Chesapeake Bay yesterday, had five nice rock 30 to 37 inches and kept two for the table. While out there I was running my live well and noticed that the drain was not keeping up with the pump. I figured we had a clog and I set out to clear it. I ended up in the aft cabin, removing...

    Great Grady Days -In OZ-

We are finishing up a two week trip through Queensland Australia that took us from Port Douglas, through Cairns to Port Hinchinbrook. Although the high winds and storms kept us from getting offshore, it was an awesome trip. - I want to thank Haydn (aka jekyl on this site) and his family for...

    Through Hull -vs- Shoot Through

Wow, this is a debate that lives on and on. Just when I though I had made a decision, Steve Bradburn at Furuno has managed to change my mind. Looks like I am going to put a hole in the boat and make a few modifications to my trailer bunks. Here is what Steve had to say: Ken, Thank you for...

    Downrigger Tuna Tactics

There are a few offshore setups that just have to go out every trip. They don't always produce but they have saved many slow days. Often they are the only lines hit. What are they? The deep line and the WAY WAY Back lines. This thread is dedicated to the deep lines. There are lots of ways...

    Avets & Tuna Fishing

I didn't want to hijack the "show your boat" thread, so I'll start a new thread. Gradyfish22: The Blue on the Avets has held up VERY well, showing no signs of wear. I really like the 30's but the 4/0 2-speeds have worked out so well, I am reluctant to get a larger reel. For the fishing we...
