My 04 Marlin also had a list to port. Dealer checked for correct location of all the things you mentioned, everything ok. Said the only thing left to do was to add weight to starboard side. They used about 150 lbs. of lead. Boat set perfectly in water and I never noticed any performance...
Hi Ed,
We're starting season 2 for our 2012 Freedom with F300 here in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Been sorta cold here too, so we're also anxious for warmer weather. Also, can't wait to take "First Light" offshore for some mahi and wahoo.
The local Grady dealer just installed a pedestal seat in my boat. They contacted GW in Greeville and got the exact location the factory uses for install. Especially important because of the stringers running through area. Holes drilled, stainless screws, and 5200 the whole thing down. Will...
If by simple you mean simple to use all the current name brand units are pretty good and you can pick a chart that provides the detail you want. Since I have Garmin, I'll recommend their stuff starting with a GPSMap 740. It's already preloaded with a good chart and has a built in fishfinder...
Anybody willing to help get it up and going again? Seems to me, we needed more grass root involvement than we got when Atlantic tried last fall to get it going. Atlantic Marine did a good job, I think potential members set on their hands and it died.
I can see how a smaller wheel might increase effort to turn, but I'm having trouble understanding how it increases the number of revolutions required to turn the motor all the way to either side?
I would try snaking a non sharp small cable or wire through the vent opening on the outside for six inches or so. If you don't find any resistance or blockage, it's not the vent.
Not saying this is an approved method, it just worked for me.
If you don't overnight or use the head often, an easy option is to add a pump deckout to your pp. For my family, this is all we need. Simple to pump out, easier than removing waste tank and carrying to bathroom, and no hassle with the complex plumbing required with a full system.
Seems like...
Click on links above, go to Grady White web site, click on Fisherman 209, scroll through photo album until you get a shot of the aft end of the cockpit. See wash down connection on port side.
I would check to see where Grady puts the wash down connection on a 209 with this feature. Grady does a great job of figuring out where things should go.
It's a lot lighter than old 200 and about the same weight as the current 150. Mercury Verado weights about the same, Evinrude E-tec is lighter by a little and Suzuki 200 is a whole lot heavier.
Not trying to sell this motor, just wanted to point out that if you are in the market for 150-200 HP...
The new 200 was introduced in Europe first. Haven't heard when it might be available here. But, if I wanted a Gulfstream, I would wait for this engine. About the same weight as the 150 and more of everything else.
