    Reverse Polarity

First off, let me say that I am NOT an electrician, have zero expertise in that area. Having said that, I need your help..... Boat has been on the lift for a few months now, connected to shore power, all was well.... Went down today to check things and my helm fan (plugged into helm outlet)...

Gelcoat cracks in 6 yr old boat

I seem to be in the never ending battle against gelcoat cracks in my 2006 360 Express, wondering if anyone else with 360's / 330's were having similar issues? The first few years they were mostly around stress points, helm where the glass and frames were mounted, transom, etc. Fixed them...

    Reset Sounder on Furuno NN2?

Went out this past weekend ahead of a strong cold front, all electronics worked well except my Furuno sounder went into some mode I have never seen.... I think the core unit behind the NN2 is a 1944 or something close to that. TTH sounder, but never had any issue before now, but again, never...

    Fuel Gauges Stuck?

I have certainly had my gremlins the last few months, lots of issues, but now a new one.... Fuel gauges showed half tank main, 2/3 aux; left the dock on Aux and a half mile out, all 3 Yamahas died. Would start, run 3-5 seconds, and die. Finally got port engine to run and made it back to the...

    Electronics box won't open

just had a bunch of electrical work done on my 360 and now the electronics box won't open. press the switch, nada, zippo. I know that just above it is a fuse or circuit breaker(?), but when I screw off the rubber cover I can't get anything to come out. Dont' want to rip what appears to be a...

    2006 360 bow thruster problem

Mine quit working last week, power is getting to the joystick and charger shows fully charged, but when I push the joystick I hear a faint click click but thats all. For the life of me I can not locate the fuses that the GW diagram shows, have hunted around all over on the starboard access...

Non-Skid surfaces - wash, wax, prep?

I'm thinking of changing my maint procedures this summer, just too much work. It takes me a good 2 days to work thru the basics each quarter. For years, I have waxed non-skid areas with Aurora sure step, including cockpit, walkways, decks in front of the windshields on my 330 /360. Used...

GW's, Yamahas, Generators and Oil filled water...

I live on the northern Gulf Coast and have been watching the tragedy unfold with the oil well explosion, hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil that are now moving toward us, and unfortunately no quick fix in sight. I will not voice my personal opinions in this post, but rather just ask for...

New Boat - what will it take for you to buy one?

I had an interesting email today, a sales guy from a dealer - who I will not name - that I have never met, telling me I had not traded my GW in several years and he knew it was time for me to buy given my history. OK, maybe, but not in this economy, uncertainty, GW still has no new huge...

Underwater LED light that replaces drain plug

anyone have any experience with this product? http://www.tojoseabelow.com/ Saw it in my new fishing magazine, looks pretty simple and for less than $300 its a heck of a price for a single light. I have never seen or heard of it before the magazine, just the high end LED's that cost...

    2010 Projects?

Been on the road the last few weeks a lot, hard on the family but nice to have a job these days too, now thinking about projects for 2010. First up: a. Annual service on the Yamahas, generator, etc. b. Adding some LED's on the transom, so I can brighten up the water off my stern at night c...

    build vs buy

I bought about $150 worth of supplies at Lowes and built a 3x3x8' treated box in about 2 hours or so, complete with 2 locks and all hardware. Only had to cut some boards in advance, then transport the rest to the dock and with my 18 volt drill and screw head it was done and IMHO 300% stronger...

    another view

IMHO I would fly them over, but for a combination of different reasons: a. water is fickle, you can play with the weather all you want but until you get into the stream you have no clue what that day is really dishing up b. Bahamas customs process: it usually takes us several hours...

Whats your 2010 Special Event on your GW?

We are looking forward to warmer weather for sure, so tired of all the cold weather and wind... We are looking at our 2010 schedule and planning, I'm really curious if anyone else is doing the same? We are thinking about the Big Bend area of FL, and looking for anyone that has been there...

Music choices - heading thru the pass.....

Spring is coming and I love to crank up the music as I head out of Destin Pass (or Govt Cut in Miami or where ever I am....), get the Starbucks going and everyone pumped up for a day of mega fun and fishing and laughing while we do all the prep work and get ready to fish... My favorite is...

GW customer service comes thru again

had a few minor issues lately with an older GW, but once again, GW service excels and EXCEEDS expectations. GW is awesome; my dealer, still in business but smaller, really is the pits, but GW fills the void the dealer left and provides exceptional support. Times may be bad but GW has never...

360 -330 owners - missing water in the bilge?

We have had an extremely wet winter, like 20+ inches of rain the last couple of months when we usually get 4-5 in. I noticed recently that I had water collecting on my bow when I washed the boat, did some tests and found that somehow or other I had tilted the boat in the lift so that water...

Spent the day cleaning the 360 today....

we have had totally crazy weather the last few months, unusually wet, will be multiple days of 3-4 inch rains and then back to dry for a few days. Even though its fall, we will have several 30 degree nights followed by 75 degree days, just a total roller coaster of temps, water and lots of wind...

    Grady White position on ethanol

there are lots of posts on ethanol for sure, but has anyone seen GW come out with a position / advice? I have seen the pending changes on E15, which seem fortunately to be delayed for now; but you know the lobby folks will be hounding our POS congress to pass it and make the corn growers...
